Winter Parking Contest | Calgary Parking
Winter is a great time to rediscover Calgary. Visit a favourite neighbourhood business, explore somewhere new, attend a seasonal event or plan a day downtown.
The City’s Winter Parking Contest makes it easy to celebrate the local businesses you appreciate while finding useful parking options for your winter outings. Each week, one eligible participant will receive $150 worth of free ParkPlus parking credits.
You do not need to drive to celebrate a local business or enter the contest. Winners who do not use ParkPlus can gift their parking credits to an eligible friend or family member.
How to enter
From November 6 to December 22, 2026:
- Follow Calgary Parking on Instagram, Facebook or Bluesky.
- Like any of the Winter Parking Contest posts.
- Tag a local Calgary business you appreciate and share what makes that business worth discovering in the comments section.
The more love you show for local businesses this winter, the better your chances of winning! Your recommendation could help another Calgarian find a new shop, restaurant, service or winter experience.
Win weekly prizes
Seven eligible participants will each receive $150 in ParkPlus parking credits. Winners will be announced every Tuesday:
- November 10
- November 17
- November 24
- December 1
- December 8
- December 15
- December 22

ParkPlus credits can be used for eligible on-street parking and at participating Calgary Parking lots and parkades. Winners must have or create a ParkPlus account to receive their credits. ParkPlus credits do not expire.

Throughout the campaign, we will share verified examples of these improvements and the people, businesses and local areas connected to them.
Make your recommendation stand out
Tell people what they can discover when they visit. You could share:
- A favourite item, meal, service or experience
- What makes the business special to its neighbourhood
- A memorable experience you had there
- Why someone should add it to a winter outing
- Another nearby business, attraction or event worth visiting
Keep your entry specific, genuine and helpful. The goal is not only to name a business, but to help more people discover it.

Contest rules
By entering, participants agree to the official contest rules, including the following conditions:
- Participants must submit an eligible entry during the contest period.
- Entries must meet the stated contest criteria.
- Participants agree that Calgary Parking may share eligible public entries and associated usernames.
- Calgary Parking reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the contest requirements.
- Winners must have or create a ParkPlus account to receive parking credits.
- Parking credits may be gifted to an eligible friend or family member.
- Winners will be contacted through the social media platform used to enter.
