Parking safety to avoid scams | Calgary Parking
Parking scams—phishing emails, fake parking tickets, and misleading text messages that steal financial and personal information—are rising. Take action against parking scams and avoid becoming a victim today!
Watch for suspicious parking payment QR codes
If a QR code looks like it has been added as a sticker, appears altered or sends you to an unfamiliar website, do not enter personal or payment information.
Use official Calgary Parking payment options, including Pay as Guest, the MyParking app, call/text to park, or available pay machines. If you’re unsure, visit Calgaryparking.com directly or contact Calgary Parking contact centre at 403-537-7000 before paying.
If you believe you entered personal or payment information on a suspicious site, contact your financial institution and report the incident to Calgary Police Service non emergency line or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
