The ParkPlus System

Introduced to Calgary in 2007, the ParkPlus system allows you to pay for your parking with conveniently located ParkPlus pay machines or by cell phone with a registered ParkPlus cell phone account.

You can pay for your parking at any curbside ParkPlus pay machine using coin or credit card.

Pay for Parking with your Cell Phone 

To pay by cell phone, sign up for a ParkPlus cell phone account. Get started by clicking on "Create Account".

Once you set up your ParkPlus account, you can pay for parking with your cell phone in four ways:

  • calling (403) 537-PARK (7275) and listening to the voice prompts;
  • using our Text to Park feature by texting "start" and "end" with your ParkPlus zone number to 77587 (PPLUS);
  • downloading the MyParking App for the iPhone to start a parking session from within the app; or
  • starting your parking session online.


Sign up for a ParkPlus cell phone account and enjoy these benefits: 

  • Only pay for the time you actually parked by deactivating your parking session;
  • Set up reminder notices to notify you when your time is about to expire;
  • Access a record of your parking transactions for the current and three previous months;
  • Receive a 25% discount for on-street parking with a qualifying small vehicle;
  • Use your ParkPlus account to pay for parking in CPA surface lots and parkades;
  • and many other benefits!

Edmonton Pilot Program

The City of Edmonton launched a six-month parking pilot project beginning June 10, 2013 that has now been extended.  The system is called EPark and will be powered by the ParkPlus System. See www.edmonton.ca/epark for more information.

Please note: EPark cell phone accounts and ParkPlus cell phone accounts are not transferable. Account holders must log-in to the site where the account was created to view, edit or add funds to an existing cell phone account.

Note: Both EPark cell phone accounts and ParkPlus cell phone accounts can be used to pay for parking in either Edmonton (EPark zones) or Calgary (ParkPlus zones).
