Share your thoughts about the RPP program
The City of Calgary is currently reviewing its Residential Parking Permit (RPP) program to improve customer service, increase long-term financial stability, and ensure efficient use of street space. The City wants to understand how the RPP program is, or is not, meeting your needs. Provide input by completing a short survey here: www.calgary.ca/rpp
If you get a parking ticket, you have a few options:
1. You can pay your parking ticket. The CPA uses an early payment incentive program that reduces the penalty amount if paid before 30 days. You can save as much as 20 per cent if you pay your parking tickets within 10 days of the offence.
2. You can request an Administrative Review to point out any errors related to your ticket. If we find an error, either in the applicability of the bylaw or in the way it was enforced, we won't pursue the ticket any further.
3. You can appeal your parking ticket in court. If you don't pay your parking ticket, you will receive a violation ticket in the mail. At this point, you have the option to appeal your violation ticket through the Provincial Court Appeal process.
