COVID-19 Update

In support of COVID-19 precautions our hours of operation have been reduced to support the health of our staff and customers through social distancing. This may result in longer than usual wait times for customer service support. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time. 

As of March 17, 2020, the main CPA office (620-9 Avenue SW) will be closed. The Impound Lot (400-39 Ave SEis actively enforcing physical distancing rules, requiring customers to remain 6 feet apart and limiting the number of people in our lobby at a time. This means customers may need to wait outside before gaining access to the lobby, so dress appropriately for the weather and have all necessary documentation with you to support an efficient visit. Please also note, the Impound Lot’s reduced hours of operation are 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 12noon until 4pm on weekends; please arrive early enough to ensure we have enough time to resolve your concerns. 

The health and safety of our customers and employees is our highest priority. Please do not enter the Impound Lot if you are sick. We are encouraging use of the myParking App rather than pay machines and want to remind customers to use online tools to pay tickets, submit appeals, manage residential parking permits and top up your paid parking account.

Due to COVID-19 concerns and reduced traffic to the downtown core, most CPA parkades have been now closed to daily parkers. Daily parking is only available at City Centre Parkade (Lot 25). Monthly parkers can still access their lots using their Preferred Parker Access cards.

To promote the use of virtual ticket payments rather than customers visiting our office, we have suspended the $3 online fee for ticket payments.  

A better way to help the homeless and hungry in Calgary

Calgary's Road Home is a community program that provides meals, housing and other programs to Calgary's homeless and hungry. It is a partnership between the Calgary Parking Authority, the Calgary Homeless Foundation and the Calgary Food Bank.

This program aims to redirect money given to panhandlers. The Homeless Foundation and the Food Bank's goal is to help the homeless and the hungry. Despite their efforts, many times during the day you may walk by Calgarians in need. Often being approached can be awkward, so we have developed an idea to help the less fortunate and make it easy for you to make a difference.

HOW IT WORKS

Donations are collected using curbside ParkPlus pay machines and ParkPlus cell phone accounts. You can donate by entering zone 4663 (HOME) for the Homeless Foundation and zone 3663 (FOOD) for the Food Bank. To view a map of ParkPlus machines you can currently donate at, click here.

100% of donations go directly to the Calgary Homeless Foundation and the Calgary Food Bank.

HOW TO GIVE

At a curbside ParkPlus pay machine:

  • To donate to the Food Bank, enter Zone 3663 (FOOD).
  • To donate to the Homeless Foundation, enter Zone 4663 (HOME).
  • Enter license plate.
  • Insert coins or credit card.
  • Press for optional receipt.

Through your ParkPlus cell phone account:

  • Call (403) 537-7275 as you normally would to activate a parking session*.
  • To donate to the Food Bank, enter Zone 3663 (FOOD).
  • To donate to the Homeless Foundation, enter Zone 4663 (HOME).
  • Your cell phone account will be debited for $5**.

*Please note, when you make a donation via your cell phone account, you will hear the same voice message you hear when you activate a parking session. To control the administrative costs of this program, no changes were made to the ParkPlus user interface.

**You can make more than one $5 donation with your cell phone account as long as there are sufficient funds in your account.
