Administrative Review

The CPA offers you the opportunity to request an administrative review of a parking ticket in order to:

  • Point out any errors that may have occurred.
  • Gain clarity about the parking officer’s actions.

If there is proof the parking ticket was issued in error and the vehicle owner is clearly "not guilty" of an offence, a request for an administrative review should be made by completing an Administrative Review.

Paid parking tickets are an admission of guilt, and as such an administrative review is unnecessary.

If a court conviction has already occurred, the CPA is not allowed to accept a review.

The Calgary Parking Authority may not withdraw parking tickets on the basis of compassionate reasons or on the basis of mitigating circumstances. If an appeal is based on compassionate or mitigating circumstances, the matter must be heard by the Provincial Court, see Court Appeal.
