How to Use Pay for Parking

There are two ways to park:

Daily Parking

  • A $3.00 charge for parking is required weekdays from 2:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Parking is free evenings from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am, weekends and statutory holidays. 

Four-Hour Parking

  • Short-term parking stalls are provided at each lot that limit parking to 4 hours only. These parking spaces allow transit customers to make short duration trips. The cost of parking in these stalls is $0.75 per hour up to a maximum of $3.00
  • Payment is required weekdays from 2:00 am to 6:00 pm. Parking is free evenings from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am, weekends and statutory holidays.

How to Pay

1. Use a pay machine

  • Pay using exact change (no change provided) or by credit card. (View step-by-step instructions.)
  • The cost is $3.00 per day for daily stalls or $0.75 per hour for the 4-hour stalls.
  • You can request a printed receipt for your records. You do not need to go back to your car to display the receipt on your dashboard.
  • Pay machines are located in each Park and Ride lot.

2. ParkPlus Cell Phone Account

  • Pre-register for a ParkPlus cell phone account at www.parkplus.ca or in person at Calgary Parking Authority (620-9 Avenue SW) between 8:00 am and 4:15 pm weekdays.
  • Call 403-537-7275 to activate a parking session.
  • Users will need to enter the zone number of their park and ride lot located on signs located throughout the lot. (View Park and Ride lot zone numbers.)
  • The cost is $3.00 per day for daily stalls or $0.75 per hour for the 4-hour stalls.
  • You may register multiple licence plates and cell phone numbers in one account.

3. Monthly Convenience Parking Pass

  • This pass allows customers the convenience of paying once a month rather than daily.
  • The cost is $60/month ($57.14 plus $2.86 GST).
  • Passes can be used at any Calgary Transit Park-and-Ride lot.
  • Passes do not guarantee a parking stall if a lot is full. Parking stalls are available on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Passes must be renewed each month. The deadline to purchase a pass is the 5th business day of each month. Passes purchased after the 5th business day will be for the NEXT month.
  • Fees are not pro-rated. It is best to purchase your pass ahead of time to ensure you receive the full value.
  • Registered licence plates identify valid pass holders. There is no need to display anything in your vehicle.
  • The Monthly Convenience Parking Pass may be purchased in person at the Calgary Parking Authority located at 620 – 9th Ave. SW or by phone at 403-537-7000 between 8:00 am and 4:15 pm.
  • The Calgary Transit Monthly Convenience Parking Pass is subject to the following terms of use:
  • The Calgary Transit Monthly Convenience Parking Pass entitles the user to park one of the registered vehicles in any one of the authorized Calgary Transit Park-and-Ride lots.

4. Reserved Parking (at Fish Creek Lacombe Park and Ride location only)
